Tina is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Montclair State University and her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. She has worked as a Substance Abuse Counselor, providing counseling services to individuals facing various challenges in life.

 

Tina's work involves helping people from diverse backgrounds, including adolescents, college-age students, and adults. She addresses a wide range of issues, such as family boundaries, anxiety, body image, self-esteem problems, conflict in relationships, various types of addiction, and helping individuals find their voice.

 

Her therapeutic approach primarily involves Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. CBT helps individuals identify and change negative thought patterns that can contribute to emotional distress and problematic behaviors.

 

Tina's counseling style is person-centered, emphasizing the creation of a safe, non-judgmental space for her clients. She is empathetic and supportive, allowing individuals to express their thoughts and feelings without fear of criticism.

 

Additionally, Tina is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, which is known for its effectiveness in treating trauma and stress-related conditions. This therapy approach helps individuals process distressing memories and experiences, reducing their emotional impact.

Tina also specializes in marriage counseling, employing the renowned Gottman Technique. Developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman, this evidence-based approach enhances communication, resolves conflicts, and deeply strengthens relationships.

 

Tina is bilingual and can conduct counseling sessions in both English and Arabic, making her services accessible to a broader range of individuals.
